Government departments and public bodies are essential partners in OPEQ’s mission. Every year, we collect end-of-life IT equipment from provincial, federal, para-governmental, and municipal administrations to give it a new and useful life.
Do you have equipment to hand over? Here is the procedure depending on your situation.
PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS
Are you subject to the Direction générale des acquisitions? You must first obtain a release notice through a surplus declaration with the Service de la gestion et de la disposition des biens (SGDB).
Quebec City: 418 528-2699 Elsewhere in Quebec: 1 877 590-2699 dispositiondesbiens@cspq.gouv.qc.ca
Once you have received the release notice, contact OPEQ’s client services to obtain a confirmation number used to identify your equipment. Please note: any shipment without proper identification may be returned at the sender’s expense.
Are you not subject to the Direction générale des acquisitions? Contact OPEQ’s client services directly. Our team will guide you through the shipping procedure step by step.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS
All federal departments must complete the Surplus Material Attestation Report before handing over their equipment. Once the form is received, an OPEQ representative will contact you to coordinate delivery.
