Since 1998, OPEQ has been collecting, refurbishing, and redistributing computer equipment across Quebec, to reduce electronic waste, expand access to technology, and open doors to employment.
80,000+ devices collected every year.
365,000+ computers redistributed since our founding.
18,000+ tonnes of materials diverted from landfills.
2,704 t CO₂e avoided in 2025 – Circular 21 Award.
1,500+ people who gained their first hands-on IT experience.
THREE PILLARS, ONE MISSION
Circular Economy: Every refurbished device is waste avoided, a resource preserved, and a CO₂ emission spared.
Digital Inclusion: Every piece of redistributed equipment helps bridge the digital divide for a student, a family, or a community organization.
Employability: Every OPEQ internship is a concrete entry point into the job market for a young Quebecer.
“This program not only gives us access to quality IT equipment within our budget, but above all allows us to continue supporting a growing number of people in need.”
Danielle L., Executive Director – Hébergement Maison de la Paix
Every device you hand over is one less piece of waste and one more opportunity.
A device you no longer use can change someone’s daily life and open a door to employment.
OPEQ provides a turnkey service for businesses and public institutions: full pickup and handling, certified eco-responsible processing, and donation receipts available for eligible organizations.
By entrusting your equipment to OPEQ, you contribute to three concrete outcomes: electronic waste avoided, an organization or family equipped, and a young person in training who handles, tests, and refurbishes that equipment to gain their first real IT experience.
We accept: laptops and desktop computers, servers, tablets, smartphones, monitors, laser printers, and peripherals.
Reliable, affordable equipment refurbished by our technicians — available to organizations and families in need.
Eligible recipients include schools, CPEs and childcare services, libraries, community organizations, non-profit housing co-operatives, and low-income families through the CLIC-OPEQ program.
Available equipment: desktop and laptop computers, workstations, servers, tablets, smartphones, monitors, printers.
