• The financial situation of the beneficiaries is assessed according to the table Low income cut-offs (1992 base) before tax of Statistiques Canada. We take into account the columns Size of family unit and Census Metropolitan Area (CMA)​.

Price:

• 60 $ per computer.
• Depending on the shop that prepares the order, taxes may be added to the invoice.

Warranty

• The computer, screen, keyboard and mouse are guaranteed 1 year by the OPEQ workshop partner (see the warranty policy).
• OPEQ is not responsible for technical assistance in the use of computer equipment or software.

• • Laptops are excluded from the CLIC program.
  • All equipment is refurbished in one of our six workshops.

1. Computer requests must come from organizations authorized by OPEQ.
2. Organizations must complete and submit the CLIC OPEQ purchase order, which identifies beneficiary families who need a computer. An email confirmation is sent to the organization’s manager.
3. The following information is required for each requested computer :
   • First name
   • Last name
   • Language of software installation
4. The organizations are responsible for collecting money from their beneficiaries or providing funding on their own.
5. After the validation of the organization, the workshop responsible for the order sends the bill to the organization’s manager.
6. Upon receipt of payment, the order is prepared by the OPEQ workshop.
7. The OPEQ workshop gives the computers to the organization. The organization is responsible for handing over the computers to its beneficiaries.

Is there a cost to get a computer?
Yes, the minimum price of a computer is $ 60. This money is used to pay for licenses, transportation, handling and new parts added to the computer.

Who should collect money for the purchase of computers?
Your organization is responsible for collecting beneficiaries or securing funding on its own.

What is a Wi-Fi card?
Adding a Wi-Fi card to your computer allows it to be placed anywhere in your home without having to run a network cable between your router and the computer. You will have access to the Internet everywhere as long as you are within range of your wireless router.

How does delivery work?

• ​​​​OPEQ will do a single delivery per order from a school or an organization.
• Every computer will be packed individually and identified in the name of the beneficiary
• Computers are delivered to the organization. The organization is responsible for handing over the computers to the beneficiaries.

How many computer can I order?

• One. The program allows the order of one computer by family.
